I started this layout by smudging Bubblegum Glimmer Mist onto the Whisper White, cardstock, base page and stamping lots of coordinating, floral images, in Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, and Rose Red inks, in a diagonal, just to the left of where my photo would lie. I then stacked a number of color-coordinating, patterned, paper bits on top of a bit of cheesecloth; anchored them with gold-threaded, straight and zig-zag, machine stitches; and topped them with my photo, which was matted with more Whisper White cardstock. I then tucked a white envelope under the photo's right side and a "Date captured" March 2012 tag under its top edge, before pinning the top right corner with a "PERFECT", cardstock sticker.
The top left corner of the photo was overlaid with a scalloped, gold label, topped with a white embossed, on vellum, and hand-cut butterfly, as well as a hand-cut, from patterned paper, and glittered arrow.
The whole display was then sprinkled with gold, flower sequins and grounded with the "SPRING has Sprung!" title, which was created from chipboard Thickers, rubon letters, and a Cameo-cut, from Rose Red cardstock, "Sprung!".
But I didn't stop there. I spread those pics of my garden, bursting with springtime goodness, into a two-pager.
Let's get a look at the right side.
This side has lots more of the mist smudging and floral stamping, as well as those sweet, little, gold, flower sequins. And above and below the photo grid you'll find more cheesecloth on top of those fabulous, patterned papers, anchored with yummy stitching. I then framed my crocus photo with a kraft Polaroid, dressed up with another hand-cut, from patterned paper, and glittered arrow and embossed, vellum butterfly, as well as a "DELIGHTFUL", cardstock sticker.
The top row of photos holds another glittered arrow...and is dressed up with a "HAPPINESS", dimensional, banner sticker, trimmed with a larger, embossed, vellum butterfly to complete the look.
