Morning, y'all! So, in hunting for a little, extra special inspiration to inspire my oldest to make a Father's Day card for my hubby, I came across The Idea Room's Father's Day Gift - Candy Bar Wrappers post and knew that it would be a perfect fit. Unfortunately, we're not on Facebook, so I couldn't download what I think is her Father's Day Candy Bar Wrappers cut file. It may just be a printable. It was a bit unclear, but no never mind. Ezekiel and I winged it, and I think we did just fine.
We started this project by folding, clipping, and rounding the bottom corners of a piece of Brocade Blue cardstock to form the jacket. Ezekiel then stitched on three white buttons with white thread, and we tied it snug with a color-coordinating length of plaid ribbon.
We then tucked a piece of Whisper White cardstock, with its top corners snipped and folded, around a die-cut tie, into a shirt collar, in it.
The bottom of the shirt piece was stamped, in Brocade Blue ink, with the "Happy Father's Day" sentiment (This would've been a great place for my big kiddo to have written a little note to his Dad, too, but he's a boy of few words ;).)...
and formed into a pocket to house a Mr. Goodbar...
wrapped in Skip to My Lou's Printable Candy Bar Wrapper for Father's Day.
My hubby loved it, and it was just simple enough not to frustrate Ezekiel. Thanks so much for stopping by, friends! Have a blessed day!
