Stuck?! June 15th Sketch

Sunday, June 15, 2014

Well, hello there, strangers.  So sorry for the lack of posts here in my neck of the woods.  Does time seem to be slipping by faster and faster for anyone besides me?  I didn't even realize that it's been a whole week, but I'm making it up to you today with not one, but two pages.  The first is for our latest sketch up over at Stuck?! Sketches, and I'll be back, in just a bit, with the second.  Enjoy!
I started this page by smudging Spun Sugar and White inks, through both polka dot and floral templates, onto the aqua, text, patterned paper.  The white smudging is subtle, but I adore the ghost-like layer it creates.  I then stamped it in Coastal Cabana ink with the stitched circles, in Island Indigo ink with the quilt stitches, in Melon Mambo ink with the text, and in Jet Black ink with the hearts, before anchoring a handful of vellum circles, cut with my Cameo, with turquoise-threaded, messy, machine stitches.  My photo grid was then created with photos, matted with Whisper White cardstock, around a piece of teal, floral, patterned paper, topped with a perforated strip, as well as bits of Washi Tape and a trio of color-coordinating, patterned, paper pieces, cut in the shape of banners, along with a pink, polka dot, pennant tag.
The first part of the "together FOREVER" title was cut, from Whisper White cardstock, with my Cameo and glittered; and the second half was formed from teal, foam Thickers.
The top left photo was then dressed up with a teal, Baskin Robbins, 03.14.12 tab, anchored with a simple staple, as well as a "mind your P's & Q's", cardstock sticker...
and the bottom photo was pinned with a bit of "MAR" flair.
Lots of epoxy and flower stickers, as well as blue gemstones and a trio of buttons, secured with white string, continue the circle theme.  One of the latter also anchors a pink, "WEDNESDAY" banner, which was topped with "MY FAMILY", cardstock stickers and grounded with a stamped, in Jet Black ink, on a teal, stripe ticket, "WE'RE JUST BETTER, TOGETHER." sentence.
Further inspiration for this page came from 1-2-3 Challenge Blog's June Challenge.
And here's your June 15th Sketch to get you off and running in the right direction.
