Stuck?! September 15th Sketch

Monday, September 15, 2014

Morning, y'all!  I'm just thrilled to be here sharing my take on Stuck?! Sketches' second September sketch.  Even though there's a chill in the air and fall has arrived in my neck of the woods, I've been completely inspired by some new purchases to scrap more summer pics.
I started this page by securing a trio of patterned papers with gold-threaded, straight, machine stitches and pairing them with a bit of gold, stripe Washi, as well as a stamped, in Jet Black ink, and glittered lace border.  I then matted my photos with Whisper White cardstock and tucked lots of hand-cut, from patterned paper, flowers in amidst edges.  Stamped, in Jet Black ink, on a green, scalloped, patterned paper and hand-cut leaves, as well as a couple of gold, sequin butterflies; "you are my HAPPY", sticker pennant; and chipboard, "No." circle, complete their arrangement.
The "Beautiful Summer" title, created from gold, word bit stickers...
as well as a yellow, Kill Creek Park, August 25, 2013, label, top the design...
while a gold, sailboat sticker, tucked in a blossom cluster over another patterned paper, prepared in the same way as above, and bit more Washi, ground it.
A couple of gold, phrase stickers embellish the top left photo...
and trio of fish, stamped, in Jet Black ink, on White cardstock, which were also hand cut out, colored with pencils, and dressed up with a bunch of bubble gemstones, complete the look.
Further inspiration for this page came from Sassy Scrappers' September Moodboard Challenge.
And here's your September 15th Sketch, which I've rotated 90 degrees to the right, to get you started.
Our sponsors for this sketch, with a $20 gift certificate and both a 6x6 paper pad and stamp set of the winner's choice respectively, are...
