Baseball Thank Yous

Tuesday, October 7, 2014

Hey, friends!  It's going to be quiet around here this week, as I've been super busy, behind the scenes, taking care of my family and working on lots of projects that I simply can't share just yet.  There have also been quite a few late nights cheering on our Royals.  One of these days, they'll remember that baseball games are supposed to have only nine innings.  LOL!  Anyway, I'll try to put together a family update just as soon as I can.  But for now, I wanted to leave you with these matching thank yous I made for my big kiddos' baseball coaches, just because if you leave here even a wee bit inspired to make your day a creative one, I'd be ever so happy.  Enjoy!
I started these cards by trimming the bottom edge of a piece of blue, star, patterned paper with a number, patterned paper and the space between them with a strip of red, medallion, patterned paper.  I then secured the resulting piece, to the Oatmeal, cardstock, card face, with black-threaded, straight and zig-zag, machine stitches, before wrapping their horizontal center with a length of red, taffeta ribbon, which was tied, in a bow, near the left edge of the card face and embellished with a gray, chevron, ribbon bow, as well as a red button, laced with a Baker's Twine bow.
I then stamped the bottom center of a kraft envelope, in Jet Black ink, with the "Thank You" sentiment, before adhering it, to the card face, with foam tape.
All three pieces of the star were die cut and layered one on top of the other, in the center of the envelope, above the sentiment and grounded with a baseball glove, which was stamped, in Jet Black ink, on White cardstock, colored with pencils, and hand cut out.  I also stamped a second baseball, hand cut it out, and popped it up with foam tape, just for a bit more dimension...
before scattering a few gemstones throughout and stuffing those little envelopes with gift cards.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a remarkable day, y'all!
