Stuck?! October 15th Sketch

Wednesday, October 15, 2014

Note:  If you've come here looking for my Paper Sweeties October Release Party post, please scroll down.

Hey, y'all!  It's the middle of the month, and that means another fabulous sketch from our fearless leader at Stuck?! Sketches.  Let's just get right to it.
I started this page by inking Patina Distress Ink, through a plus stencil, onto the gray, stripe, base page and overlapping it with a bit of white-embossed honeycomb.  I then stamped the page, in Jet Black ink, with a trio of large blossoms and secured a number of hand-cut, using a stencil, patterned, paper hexagons, strategically, throughout the page, before machine-stitching, with black-threaded, straight, machine stitches, a frame just 1/4" in from the outer edge of the page itself.  My photo was matted with Whisper White cardstock; backed with a number of Cameo-cut, vellum vines...
wrapped three times with a length of Baker's Twine, tied in a bow; and embellished with a dimensional butterfly, as well as an "extraORDINARY", sticker tab.  An "enjoy" flag, grounded with a heart button, laced with white string, completes the top of the photograph...
and a number of phrase/word stickers, some of which were popped up with foam tape and including an "ESTABLISHED" April 27, 2014 label, round out the bottom.
The "MY GREATEST BLESSINGS CALL ME Mom" title, which was created from both red and white alpha stickers, as well as foam, glitter Thickers and a stamped, in Jet Black ink, "Mom", completes the look.
Our sponsor's for this challenge, with a $20 gift certificate and the prize pack pictured below respectively, are...
and here's your October 15th Sketch to get you going in the right direction.
Further inspiration for this page came from Let's Capture Our Memories' October Color Spot.
Please be sure to stop by the challenge link above to see how the rest of the team has interpreted the sketch, as well as to get all of your challenge details.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderful Wednesday!
