Paper Sweeties November Release Party

Friday, November 14, 2014

Today's the day, friends!  All the Paper Sweeties goodies you've seen here and on the Design Team's blogs (which, by the way, you must be sure to visit), over the last few days, are available for the pickin' even as this post goes live.  But before you're off to doing that pickin', if you haven't done so already, I promised to share a release-inspired page today; and I'm here, now, to deliver.
I started this page by stamping my aqua, stripe, patterned, paper, base page, in both Coastal Cabana and Melon Mambo inks, with a variety of snowflake images.  I then trimmed the top of the page with a handful of color-coordinating, patterned papers, all anchored with black-threaded, straight, machine stitches.  My photo was then matted with Whisper White cardstock and backed with a perforated, kraft paper, as well as a vintage, grid sheet and scrap of polka dot, embossed vellum.  A teal, polka dot tag, hand cut from patterned paper; punched using a simple, hole punch; and framed with a reinforcement label, was tucked in amongst the layers and laced with a bit of white string, tied in a bow.
My photo grouping was then dressed up with a number of transparency snowflakes, as well as a couple of stamped, in the same way as above but this time on White, cardstock die cuts, snowflakes...
and a "TWENTY THIRTEEN" flair button...
and grounded with a couple of phrase bit stickers, as well as stamped "Baby It's Cold Outside!" and "Winter Wonderland" phrases.  The latter was applied to a ticket sticker, and both stamped phrases were done so in Jet Black ink.
My "SNOW angels" title was Cameo-cut from Whisper White and teal cardstocks.  The first half of the title was glittered, and the entire title was grounded with both a stamped, in Jet Black ink, "Let It Snow" phrase and a bit of journaling, which reads, It was such fun to spend our 1st day of 2013 playing in the beautiful snow!
Finally, I stamped the snowman, in Jet Black ink, on a White, cardstock die cut; colored it in with pencils; adhered it, just to the left of the embellished title, with foam tape; and scattered a couple more of the same snowflakes as described above throughout.
Further inspiration for this page came from Creative Scrappers' Sketch #281.
Thanks, as always, for stopping by my little corner of the web!  I'd love to have you join me tomorrow for one final day of the Paper Sweeties November Release.  Until then, have a great start to your weekends!  Hugs!
