Hello again!  Just popping back in to share my take on Color Me Scrappy's newest challenge.  Gosh, I can't even begin to tell you how much I adore these palettes.  I'm a color girl, and these challenges totally meet my craving for such.  Plus, I love how, often times, they stretch me to use colors that I normally wouldn't put together and help me to use my stash.  It's a win-win situation!  So, let's just get right to it.
I started this page by smudging Leap Frog and Lobster Glimmer Mists onto the textured, white, cardstock, base page and stamping it, in Jet Black ink, with a number of snowflakes, some of which carried onto the patterned papers to come as well.  I then anchored my patterned paper strips, just left of vertical center, with gray-threaded, straight, machine stitches and topped them with my photo grid which was created on Whisper White cardstock.  The "TRADITION" title, which was created from navy, polka dot Thickers, as well as the stamped, in Jet Black ink, "REMEMBER THIS DEC 24 2013" date ground the whole look.
Just above the title, I created clusters of die-cut, from White, Garden Green, and Going Gray cardstocks,  as well as a navy, star, patterned paper, leaves and branches, some of which were secured with foam tape for a bit of dimension.
The mistletoe branches were then embellished with pearls, before I grounded their ends with a die-cut, from a red, glitter cardstock, snowflake; chipboard Santa; and stamped, in Jet Black ink, on a White cardstock die cut, colored with pencils, and glittered tree.  I then topped the whole little cluster with a stamped, in London Fog ink, on a White, cardstock die cut, banner, which was filled in with the stamped, in Jet Black ink,  "MERRY CHRISTMAS" sentiment.  A couple of die-cut, felt, holly leaves, connected by a simple red button, laced with white string, and wrapped up with a stamped, in Night of Navy ink, on a White, cardstock die cut, bow...
and an "OPEN THIS.", sticker banner round out the cluster.
In moving clockwise from there, a "HOLLY JOLLY" phrase bit...
"Twenty-four" tag...
and vintage ticket complete the look.
Further inspiration for this page came from Let's Capture Our Memories' Sketch #98.
Here's your Challenge #75 palette to inspire your December creations.  We're asking that your projects showcase the December holiday you celebrate.
As always, you have until the 28th of each month to link up your takes and are playing for the opportunity to guest design with our talented team.  This is our only December challenge, as we know it's a busy month for so many of us, so we'd love to have you all join in the fun.  Please be sure to stop by the challenge link above to see what the rest of the team has created for your viewing pleasure, and have a great week, folks!
