Cupcake Inspirations 300th Challenge Celebration

Tuesday, March 3, 2015

Morning, friends!  While I'm snoozing, I've got another Paper Sweeties-inspired post coming your way.  We got lots of snow again this weekend, and although it's already nearly gone from all the sunshine and rain that has followed, I thought it would be fun to pull a snowman out for one last winter-themed creation of the season.
I started this card by trimming a piece of aqua, text, patterned paper with a stamped, in Pool Party ink, with snowflakes, strip of White cardstock.  I then ink distressed their combined edges and framed them with Pool Party cardstock, as well as black-threaded, straight, machine stitches, before wrapping it with a length of black lace, tied in a bow and embellished with aqua ribbon, tied in a bow, and a white button, laced with hemp twine, tied in a bow.
After adhering the prepped piece to the White, cardstock, card face, I layered both a chartreuse Polaroid and journaling card, which was stamped, in Jet Black ink, with the "You make me Smile" sentiment, in the center of the card face.
I then stamped the snowman and his scarf, in Jet Black ink, on White, cardstock die cuts; colored them in with pencils; and adhered the pair, with foam tape, overlapping the bottom right corner of the Polaroid.  A trio of white-embossed, on vellum die cuts, snowflakes complete the look.
Further inspiration for this card came from Cupcake Inspirations' Challenge #300: Color.
Along with a heap of other manufacturers, Paper Sweeties is sponsoring Cupcake Inspirations 300th Challenge Celebration, so be sure to stop by and check out all the fun!
Thanks so much for humbling me with a visit!  Have a terrific Tuesday, y'all!
