Morning, y'all! I'm super excited to be here today guest designing with the ladies at Always Playing with Paper!
With Mother's Day here in the states being just a week away, I decided to take the opportunity to use the sketch below to create a card for my mom.
I started this card by anchoring a piece of orange/pink, bokeh, patterned paper, as well as a strip of pink, polka dot, patterned paper, to the White, cardstock, card face, with black-threaded, straight, machine stitches. I then wrapped a length of white seam binding ribbon, vertically, around the bottom half of the card and tied it, in a double bow, near the left edge. A pink button, laced with a length of white chord, tied in a bow, dresses up its center.
The "happy Mother's Day" sentiment was then stamped, in Jet Black ink, on a piece of vellum. It was framed with five die-cut and stacked one on top of the other, White, cardstock, open rectangles, which I ink distressed and glittered. I could make these little frames all day long. I just love 'em ever so much!
I then tucked a "Just because. I love you.", butterfly, patterned, paper bit, which was trimmed with a bit of pink, polka dot Washi Tape, behind the sentiment itself and top it with a white-embossed and hand-cut, vellum butterfly, as well as a sprinkling of clear gemstones.
Here's The Challenge #33 sketch, which I rotated 90 degrees to the right, that inspired it all; and now, it's your turn. Can't wait to see what you all come up with! Be sure to stop by the challenge link above to get all your challenge details.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and a big thanks to Lesley and her talented crew for having me! I'm so honored! Have a blessed week, friends!
