On Your Wedding Day

Saturday, June 6, 2015

Good evening, y'all!  I meant to pop in here earlier to share a monochromatic creation I recently made, but the day kind of got away from me.  Plus, I was trying for a decent shot of it all day.  I guess it's only because these come few and far between from me, but I didn't realize how difficult all-white cards can be to photograph.  That background paper kept looking more gray.  I think it's just the way the light is bouncing off the foil overlay.  Anyway, this will have to do.  Enjoy!
I started this card by trimming the left edge of a piece of white, floral, embossed, patterned paper with a strip of white, stripe, embossed, patterned paper; adhering them to the White, cardstock, card face; and machine-stitching, with white-threaded, straight stitches, a double frame around their combined edges.  I then wrapped a length of white, seam binding ribbon, vertically, around their connection and tied it, in a double bow, just below center of the card face.
The bow itself was topped with a Cameo-cut, from White cardstock, dimensional flower, which I spritzed with Pearl Glimmer Mist, just for a little shimmer and shine, before piecing together.  A trio of white-embossed and hand-cut, vellum leaves, as well as cheesecloth for added texture, were tucked under the petals.
I then white-embossed the "on your wedding day" sentiment on a vellum, banner die cut and tucked it under the top edge of the length of ribbon.
A quartet of white pearls completes the look.
Inspiration for this card came from Colour Me...!'s Creative Challenge No. 74.
I'll be back in a few hours with The Studio's newest challenge.  Until then, thanks so much for stopping by, and have a great night!
