Stuck?! August 15th Sketch

Saturday, August 15, 2015

Welcome to the weekend, friends!  What better way to start things off than with a brand spankin' new sketch from Stuck?! Sketches?  I've taken a few liberties with this one, but I think you'll see the foundation is still there.  Enjoy!
I started this page by trimming the top edge of a piece of green, triangle, patterned paper with a strip of gray, polka dot, patterned paper and filling in the space between them with strips of yellow designer and gray, stripe, patterned papers respectively.  I then smudged Pickle Mister Huey's behind where my largest photo grouping would eventually lie; anchored my papers with gray-threaded, straight, machine stitches; and stamped a couple of different circles throughout in Garden Green and Daffodil Delight inks.  A quartet of orange slices were also stamped, amidst the circles, in Only Orange ink and glittered.  I then layered a couple of patterned papers, as well as a sheet of vellum, boasting more oranges, below my photos which were matted with Whisper White cardstock.  Now, let's take a look at a few of the details surrounding my main photo grouping.  Beginning in the top left corner and moving clockwise, I stamped the word "sweet" in Jet Black ink.
A "Love This", orange, arrow sticker, as well as the stamped, in Jet Black ink, "SUNDAY AUG 24 2014" date, tops my photos.
An orange, doily die cut was tucked under the top right corner...
and "Perfect", "Smitten", and "COOL", phrase stickers round out the bottom right.
I then tucked a manila tag, laced with a yellow, seam binding ribbon bow, under the photos' bottom edge...
and an orange, chipboard frame under the bottom right corner.  That same corner boasts a white envelope, folded over the photo's edge and stapled, as well as an arrow sticker.
A "HELLO Summer" title card was adhered overlapping the bottom edge of the design; topped with a chipboard sun, as well as a wood veneer, "6" button (Kaden was six-months-old when these photos were taken.) which was laced with white string...
and flanked with another sweet photo of my cutie patootie.  That photo was topped with a pair of chipboard sunglasses.  A couple strips of silver, chevron Washi; sprinkling of yellow and orange, enamel dots; smattering of clear rhinestones; and a lone, white, resin flower complete the look.
Further inspiration for this page came from Let's Capture Our Memories' August Color Spot...
and Scrap Our Stash's Stash Challenge #29: Paper (P = Pickle Mister Huey's; A = arrows; P = polka dots & "Perfect" sticker; E = enamel dots & envelope; R = resin flower & clear rhinestones).
