I started this card by piecing the background papers onto a piece of Oatmeal cardstock; anchoring them with mustard-threaded, straight, machine stitches; and adding stamped, in Jet Black ink, as well as white gel pen, splatters. I then wrapped the prepped piece with a length of turquoise, gingham ribbon, which I tied, in a bow, near the right edge and embellished with a Crushed Curry, resin flower, backed by a bit of waxed string, tied in a bow. I also tucked a length of white lace under its bottom edge, before adhering the entire thing, with foam tape, to the Kraft, cardstock, card face.
I then black embossed a watercolor paper, rounded rectangle die cut with the pumpkin; watercolored it in shades of Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango, Old Olive, Wild Wasabi, and Garden Green inks; and adhered it, in the center of the card face, just to the left of the embellished bow, with foam tape. The scarecrow was embossed in the same way as the pumpkin on a piece of scrap, watercolor paper and watercolored in shades of Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, Summer Sun, More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango, Pretty in Pink, Old Olive, Wild Wasabi, and Garden Green inks. The paper was turning my Old Olive more of an ugly yellow, so I added back in more green with the latter two ink colors. I then hand-cut it out and adhered it, in its respective location, with foam tape...
before coating the pumpkin with a bit of Wink of Stella.
The "Happy Fall!" sentiment was then stamped, in Jet Black ink, just to the bottom left of the die cut itself; and a sprinkling of Sparkling Clear sequins completes the look.
And just because I love to see all the depth and dimension, one last photo for good measure.
