Guest Designing with Serendipity Stamps

Monday, February 29, 2016

Evening, y'all!  Just popping back in to share that I'm joining the creative geniuses, at Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog, as a Guest Designer, for the month of March.  Woohoo!
They've cooked up a Circles/Dots Challenge, for you all, which inspired me to create a shaped card for my hubby's grandfather's 90th birthday.
I started his card by cutting all layers of my card, from White and Daffodil Delight cardstocks and watercolor paper respectively, with my Cameo.  I then stamped the airplane image, in Jet Black ink, on the watercolor piece; watercolored it; gave it a little shine with clear Wink of Stella; and adhered it to its cardstock frame.
The "Thinking of you" sentiment was stamped, in Jet Black ink, on a strip of vellum and secured, with the watercolored image sandwiched between it and the Daffodil Delight, cardstock frame, with silver-threaded, straight, machine stitches running all the way around the edges of the cardstock frame.  Finally, before adhering the prepped piece, with foam tape, to the White, cardstock, card face, I wrapped the latter with a length of hemp twine, tied in a double bow just to the right of my sentiment.
The 50% off stamp of the month is 1284E To the World...
and here's your Challenge #53: Circles/Dots graphic to save and add to your project post(s).
I'm also adding this one to Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes and, just in the nick of time, to House of Cards' February Challenge: Shaped Cards.
Be sure to stop by that same challenge link above to see how the Design Team was inspired and to get all of your challenge details.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a blessed March, friends!
