The Challenge #59 Continues

Monday, February 8, 2016

Welcome to the work week, friends!  Just popping in to share that our latest sketch, over at The Challenge, is continuing for another week.  So, I've decided to try my hand at it once again.  Here goes.
I started this card by stamping a piece of watercolor paper, in Jet Black ink, with the heart images.  I then watercolored those images in a rainbow of colors and secured the piece, to the Real Red, cardstock, card face, with gold-threaded, straight, machine stitches.
The piece was also stamped, in Jet Black ink, with the partial, "SENDING HUGS AND" sentiment, before being gold-embossed with a few hearts and adhered, with foam tape, to the White, cardstock, card face.  The "prayers" remainder of the sentiment was then die-cut from several layers of White cardstock, stacked neatly on top of one another and capped off with a gold, cardstock die cut.  A little, clear Wink of Stella for the watercolored hearts and a handful of red, heart confetti completes the look.
Further inspiration for this card came from Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday Challenge: Have a Heart, and here's your The Challenge #59 sketch, once again, to get you started.
You now have until Sunday, February 14, 2016, at noon PST, to add your takes to the linky at that same challenge link above.  Then, we'll be back next Monday with a seasonal, color palette to inspire your creative time.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a blessed week, y'all!

LOL There is certainly not any shortage of hearts around these days is there. I just used those little hearts from the prayers set to create a background on my skunk card. I really like all the different colors you've used. Super cute card Jinny. Hugs!
