The Challenge #62

Monday, February 29, 2016

Morning, y'all, and happy Monday!  Just popping in with my take on a masculine inspiration board from The Challenge.  Enjoy!
I started this card by anchoring both the floral and stripe prints, onto the White, cardstock, card face, with gold-threaded, straight, machine stitching.  I then tucked a tag, which I also stamped, in Jet Black ink, with the "CONGRATS" phrase and laced with hemp twine, tied in a double bow and embellished with a length of gold thread, tied in a bow, into a white envelope and adhered it just off horizontal center.
It was then topped with a kraft, journaling tag, which was black-embossed with the hat and mustache, gold-embossed with the glasses, and white-embossed with the "HATS OFF TO YOU!" sentiment.  A little, script, puffy, flower sticker dresses up the hat...
and a gold, acrylic ampersand and camera flair button complete the look.
I'm adding this one to Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes, and here's your The Challenge #62 graphic to get you off and running in the right direction.  I was inspired by that hat lying on the sofa, and leave it to the wanna-be-photographer to notice the camera sitting on the trunk.  I also fell in love with the nearly neutral palette.
Be sure to stop by the challenge link above to see how the rest of the team was inspired.  You have until Sunday, March 7, 2016, at noon PST, to add your takes to the linky at that same challenge link above.  And don't forget to check out The Challenge #61 Winners, too.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hugs!
