Guest Designing with Serendipity Stamps

Tuesday, March 15, 2016

Just popping back in to remind you all of Challenge #53: Circles/Dots, over at Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog, this month.
With Easter just over a week away, I thought it only fitting to celebrate the occasion with a sweet basket all nestled in amidst a cloud of mixed-media dots.
I started this card by white-embossing the Easter basket on a large piece of watercolor paper.  I then colored it in with watercolors, including the entire, watercolor, paper panel; speckled everything, with the exception of the eggs themselves, with a little watercolor and both Pure Black and Titanium White acrylic paints; and added a bit of clear Wink of Stella to those colorful eggs.
Just before anchoring the entire panel, to the White, cardstock, card face, with black-threaded, straight, machine stitches, I crossed my fingers and prayed the "Happy Easter!" sentiment wouldn't muss up the entire design.  Then, I stamped it in Jet Black ink and breathed a HUGE sigh of relief, because it stamped perfectly and completes the look.  Yay!
The 50% off stamp of the month is 1284E To the World...
and, once again, here's your Challenge #53: Circles/Dots graphic to save and add to your project post(s).
Further inspiration for this card came from Cupcake Inspirations' Challenge 351: Rainbows.
Be sure to stop by that same challenge link above to see how the Design Team was inspired and to get all of your challenge details.  And before I'm off, I wanted to send out a HUGE thank you to Mary and Jeanne and the entire Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog Design Team for having me this month.  It's been such fun and, truly, an honor!  Thanks so much for stopping by, y'all!   Hugs!
