I paired it, as well as a couple of past stamps sets, with a layered stamping technique and lots and lots of watercoloring.
I started this card by stamping and masking blossoms and leaves, in Coastal Cabana, Lucky Limeade, Ballet Blue, Daffodil Delight, and Melon Mambo inks, on watercolor paper, to form a heart. I then watercolored each image in shades of the same color it was stamped in, as well as a little Pumice Stone Distress Ink for shading, filling in the spaces between blooms to create depth.
The ribbon was stamped, in Jet Black ink, on a yellow, polka dot, patterned paper; hand-cut out; and adhered, just at its center, pulling the edges up for dimension, at the base of the watercolored heart. Everything was then splashed with speckles of the same inks used above, as well as Titanium White acrylic paint. Once it was dry, I black-embossed the "love" sentiment in the center of the floral heart; anchored it to a piece of Brocade Blue cardstock, with gold-threaded, straight, machine stitches; and adhered it, to the white, cardstock, card face, with foam tape. A layered, vellum, Stampin' Up butterfly was embellished with clear gemstones and perched on the ribbon to complete the look.
Further inspiration for this card came from Simon Says Stamps' Monday Challenge: April Showers Bring May Flowers.
Please be sure to check out what the rest of the team has been busily working on just for your viewing pleasure. Then, we've all got one final creation to share, with you all, at the same time tomorrow. Thanks, as always, for stopping by! Blessings!

OH...
MY...
GOSH...
WHAT!?!? How cool is this and how easy you make it sound, Jinny! I tried and tried to mask and stamp floral bundles all weekend and ended up in tears and wanting to give all my stamps away! Ha! I guess going over the stamped images with an additional coat of watercolor must be the trick. Mine had too big gaps and just looked WEIRD! Now, embossing the sentiment over the bouquet is so clever! Girl, you rock and I am just so tickled that this is the first blog post I read today because it did wonders for me - both inspiration and admiration! Hugs, Autumn PS. Gold stitching = <3
WOW, WOW, how gorgeous! wishing I knew how you get your splatters so small, a tiny brush? This card is the bomb.
