Paper Sweeties May Inspiration Challenge #43

Saturday, April 30, 2016

Evening, y'all!  I'm honored to be back serving as a Paper Sweeties Guest Designer for one more month.  Because we're at the start of another month yet again, Debbie has cooked up a scrumptious, new, inspiration challenge to inspire your creative time.  Here's how I was inspired.
I started this card by piecing a trio of patterned papers onto the white, cardstock, card face and anchoring them with white-threaded, straight, machine stitches.
I then wrapped a length of Bubblegum seam binding ribbon, straight from the Paper Sweeties Boutique, vertically, around the card face and tied it, in a double bow, near the top edge.  It was then embellished with a bit of white lace; Peppermint Baker's Twine, from the Paper Sweeties Boutique, tied in a bow; and a lone pearl.
I then stamped the bottom center of a green, polka dot envelope, which I happened to have stuffed with a Starbucks gift card, in Jet Black ink, with the "So happy you're my friend!" sentiment and adhered it in the center of the card face.
The coffee mug was stamped, in Pistachio Pudding ink, on a watercolor, paper die cut and given a bit of detailing with watercolors, as well as Glossy Accents for the coffee itself.  The cupcake was stamped, in Jet Black ink, on a watercolor, paper die cut; watercolored; embellished with a button blossom, laced with white string; and given a kiss of sparkle with Clear Wink of Stella for the frosting.  Both images were then adhered, with foam tape and over a tangle of white thread, in the center of the envelope, just above the stamped sentiment to complete the look.
Further inspiration for this card came from Simon Says Stamps' Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes...
and here's your Inspiration Challenge #43 graphic to get you going in the right direction.
Thanks so much for peeking in!  Be sure to stop by my temporary teammates' blogs, as well as the challenge link above to get all of your challenge details; and have a blessed rest of your weekend, friends!  Hugs!
