The Challenge #68

Monday, April 11, 2016

Morning, y'all!  Just stopping back in with my take on a beautiful color palette from The Challenge.  While the colors are absolutely scrumptious and nearly the same, but quite by accident, as the ones I used on my card from last week's The Challenge #67, I was completely inspired by the photo itself and had to dive into creating a hand-stitched number.
I started this card by stamping the stitched, floral images, in Melon Mambo, Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, & Garden Green inks respectively, on a piece of white cardstock.  I then used coordinating, embroidery floss to stitch around each and every bit, including a few French knots for the center of the teal bloom.  Yes, this took me forever, but it packs such a punch.  Don't you think?  Plus, it's kinda soothing and mindless.
I then stamped the "I love you" sentiment in Jet Black ink; anchored it, to a slightly larger piece of teal cardstock, with white-threaded, straight, machine stitches; scattered a few color-coordinating, enamel dots throughout; and adhered the prepped piece, with foam tape, to the white, cardstock, card face.
Here's your The Challenge #68 graphic to get you going in the right direction.

Be sure to stop by the challenge link above to see how the rest of the team was inspired.  You have until Sunday, April 17, 2016, at noon PST, to add your takes to the linky at that same challenge link above.  And don't forget to check out The Challenge #67 Winners, too.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a blessed week!
