The Studio Multiple Photos Challenge

Sunday, July 31, 2016

Hey, y'all!  So glad to have you back!  There's one final, July Multiple Photos Challenge up over in The Studio.  Obviously, we're looking for pages with more than one photo this go around.  I kinda love multiple photo layouts!  There's just something about how two or three or even five pictures can tell so much more of a story than one.  Enjoy!
I started this page by stamping a number of bubbles, as well as a "FAV" circle, in Jet Black ink, onto a piece of watercolor paper; watercoloring the open ones; and although it's difficult to tell from the photos, coating them with Clear Wink of Stella for some fabulous shimmer and shine.  I then die-cut a number of printed circles and scattered them about the design, before splattering over everything with the same watercolors used to paint the bubbles, as well as Pure Black and Titanium White acrylic paints.  My photos, too, were cut into circles and matted with white cardstock.  I used an "OUR HAPPY PLACE" acetate circle as my title and sandwiched it between a foam, glitter "you", which I curled around its top left edge, and a "SO FUN" die cut.
A colorful, polka dot label was punched with a tiny circle; strung with a bit of white string, tied in a bow; and tucked under the far right photo.
A puffy, "Smile" sticker rounds the bottom right corner in moving clockwise around the design.
I backed a "FAVORITE" die cut with a tangle of silver thread; popped it up, with foam tape, just to the left of the bottom center photo; and grounded it with a "HEY HEY HAPPINESS!" phrase sticker.
"THIS SMILE" cut-apart words complete the rotation...
and direct our attention to the paper strips framing the look.  The ones across the top of the design were layered with a little torn, red, polka dot Washi; anchored with silver-threaded, straight, machine stitching; and embellished with a green, cut-apart label, which I used to etch the Sept. 26, 2014, date, as well as a foam, glitter heart.  Three more of those hearts were scattered about the design.
Shorter strips of those same prints and Washi Tape were secured, in the same way, across the bottom of the design.  I also stapled an acetate die cut into their folds.  Five, circular, acetate letters, which coordinate with the "HAPPY" title, as well as a number of teal enamel dots, were then scattered throughout the design to complete the look.
Further inspiration for this page came from Citrus Twist's July 3rd Sunday Sketch Challenge.
You have until Sunday, August 14, 2016, to link up your takes, on this Multiple Photos Challenge and/or our Summer Challenge or even our Colour Challenge, in the right-hand column of The Studio blog.  Be sure to stop by the challenge link above to see how the rest of the team was inspired.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a blessed week, y'all!
