PLS & Just Nick Product Swap: Enjoy the Moment

Saturday, October 8, 2016

Morning, friends!  It's my turn on the Pretty Little Studio blog, and I want to welcome you to the Pretty Little Studio and Just Nick Product Swap!  Designers from both teams have swapped product to bring you some fabulous inspiration, combining the two stores.  Be sure to check out what has already been showcased on both the Pretty Little Studio blog and Just Nick blog, AND don't forget to come back all week to see what our talented designers have created just for you.
I had so much fun playing with our new Summer Vibes Collection and Just Nick's Leaf Background, Doodle Flowers, and Enjoy the Moment cut files.
I started this page by cutting the Leaf Background, from textured, black cardstock, with my Cameo.  I then laid it over a 12x12 piece of watercolor paper and penciled in the lines of the leaves.  Before adhering the cut-out in place, I watercolored the entire background.  Then, once it was adhered in place, I topped it with a number of color-coordinating prints; splattered everything with Pure Black and Titanium White acrylic paints; and anchored those said prints with gold-threaded, straight, machine stitching.  After positioning my photos, which were matted with white cardstock, I created the "Enjoy the Moment" title from another Just Nick cut file and Coastal Cabana cardstock; coated it with Glossy Accents for a little added interest and shine; and grounded it with a Here Comes the Sun Die Cut.
In the bottom right corner of my sloppy, photo grid, I secured a "FAVORITE MEMORY" Let's Go Outside Journaling Card, which reads, I just love our one-on-one time, wandering around the zoo, while Ezekiel is in class.  This trip was especially fun!  The zookeepers were teasing Nikita with that barrel from outside his pen; and when they finally handed it over, he was having the time of his life.  It was also backed with a hand-cut, from our Flower Crown patterned paper, bloom, as well as the Zebra Vintage Die Cut, and topped with a Cameo-cut, vellum Doodle Flower, embellished with a bright pink button, laced with white string...
and a Heart You Flair Button, backed with a tangle of gold thread.
The opposite bottom corner was dressed up with a Gold Metallic Label Tag, which I used to etch Kansas City Zoo, September 17, 2013.
Moving clockwise, I tucked another Let's Go Outside Journaling Card between the left-side prints and dressed it up with a Fluffy Cloud Die Cut, topped with a Monarch Die Cut.
A Chrysanthemum Shipping Tag, laced with white string, tied in a bow, was tucked under the bottom left corner of the top photo and dressed up with a number of hand-cut, from our Flower Crown and Roses Clear prints, blooms and more vellum Doodle Flowers, embellished with buttons, laced with white string.
A couple more of the same flowers top the design and complete the look.
Be sure to see what Jeanne Jachna has created, just for your viewing pleasure, with the Just Nick cut files, today, too; and don't forget to head on over to the Just Nick blog to see what designer of the day Michelle Whorwood has cooked up with some of our Pretty Little Studio goodies.  AND just because we love our readers so much, Pretty Little Studio is offering you 10% off everything in the shop, with coupon code JNick10, through October 15, 2016.  If that weren't enough, Just Nick is offering 25% off items in their online store, through October 31, 2016, with coupon code PRETTY.  Woohoo!  Happy shopping, friends; and thanks so much for humbling me with a visit!  Have a blessed weekend!  XOXO
