Paper Sweeties Holiday Blog Hop

Wednesday, December 21, 2016

Evening, y'all!  I'm super excited to be joining Paper Sweeties' designers and friends for their 25 Days of Christmas Holiday Blog Hop!  Every day is filled with fresh inspiration and daily deals that you simply don't want to miss!  I've cooked up a quartet of sweet, little houses to hold gift cards, for family members, this Christmas; and I'd love to share them, with you all, today.  Just as a side note, the roofs slide right off.  So, the recipients can enjoy them for years to come, if they so desire to do so.  Here goes!
I started these packages by Cameo-cutting the houses themselves from Pink Pirouette, Bashful Blue, Riding Hood Red, Perfect Plum, and white cardstocks.
Once they were pieced together, I coated the roofs, as well as the die-cut, from white cardstock, snow pile scallops, which wrap all the way around the bases of the houses, in Dazzling Diamonds.  I used that same scallop border die to deck the top edge of each house in a color-coordinating, patterned, paper trim, once again, wrapping the house itself.
They all three then got a stamped, in Jet Black ink, on a watercolor paper die cut, Christmas tree, which was popped off the side of the house with foam tape and embellished with a white-embossed on vellum and die-cut snowflake.
They were then wrapped up with scrumptious, Paper Sweeties, seam binding ribbons, tied in double bows and embellished with single, color-coordinating, ribbon bows, as well as the stamped, in Jet Black ink, on a white cardstock, die-cut tag,  "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas" sentiment.  The tag itself was punched with a hole in its top; laced with white string; and tucked into the yummy ribbons, which were topped off with a pearl to complete the look.
Color inspiration for this project came from Paper Sweeties' December Inspiration Challenge.
But I needed one more cute, little house and couldn't possibly leave it out simply because it didn't coordinate with the color scheme ;).
Further inspiration for this project came from Inspired by All the Little Things' Challenge #37.
Be sure to stop by the 25 Days of Christmas Holiday Blog Hop post to see what all the talented designers have been up to, as well as to get some fabulous, Paper Sweeties goodies for a steal.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  And a HUGE thanks goes out to Debbie for inviting me to join in the fun!  I've so enjoyed inking up my treasures!  XOXO
