Pretty Little Studio: Christmas Magic

Wednesday, January 11, 2017

Hey, y'all!  I trust you're having a wonderful week!  I'm up again on the Pretty Little Studio blog today, sharing a page inspired by a combination of all three of this season's Christmas collections, including Holly Jolly, Tinsel Town, and Winter Joy.  Enjoy!
I started this page by watercoloring the 12" x 12", watercolor, paper, base page in shades of turquoise, pink, and red.  I then stamped the page, in Jet Black ink, with a number of different sizes of snowflakes and speckled everything with the same watercolors used above, as well as Pure Black and Titanium White acrylic paints.  The Noel Frames were then backed with both vellum for softness and clear cardstock to enclose any combination of mini die cuts from both our With Glee and Jingle Bell Words die-cut packages; silver seed beads; silver star sequins; snowflake sequins; and a scrumptious sampling of our Tree Topper, Gift Wrap, Snow Fall, Pink Petal, and Crystal sequins.  Yum!  Once all the Noel Frames were adhered in their respective locations, their combined center was filled in with a duo of Tinsel Town prints and Holly Jolly Snowflakes Vellum, which, in turn, were topped with my photo, which was matted with white cardstock.  It's bottom right corner was then dressed up with a Cambridge 4" Doily, as well as the Red Christmas Home Vintage Die Cut, surrounded by Noel Frames, pine tree die cuts.
Moving clockwise, Jingle Bells Words die cuts form the "Christmas magic" title, which was popped up with foam tape.
The bottom left corner of my photo was dressed up with a Nice List "CHRISTMAS LIGHTS" Cut-Apart.
Just sneaking in a close-up of one of those shaker frames...
before moving on to our Holly Leaves and Fern Mini Vintage Die Cuts, which form the foundation for the cluster in the tiny, top-most Noel Frame.  They were anchored with a Wish List Flair button, wrapped up with a length of Baker's Twine, tied in a bow.  A Magical Word Sticker...
and two Nice List Words Stickers make a trio, and a sprinkling of Winter Wonderland Clear Stickers snowflakes completes the look.
That does it, for this week, folks.  I'll be back on Sunday with a gorgeous, new, color challenge from The Studio.  Until then, thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great ending to your work weeks and an even greater start to your weekends!  Hugs!
