Pretty Little Studio: Merrily Christmas

Wednesday, March 1, 2017

Hello again, y'all!  It's my turn again on the Pretty Little Studio blog today, and Merrily Cat popped in to help me get an early start on my Christmas cards.  Enjoy!
I started this card by topping a scrap of Tinsel Town's Holly Jolly print with a strip of Holly Jolly's Deck the Halls; trimming their combined right edge with a Winter Joy Tab; and anchoring everything, to the white, cardstock, card face, with gold-threaded, straight, machine stitching.
I then wrapped a length of Baker's Twine three times, around the card face, over the connection of my two prints and tied it, in a bow, near the left edge.
Here Comes the Sun's Gold Metallic Star patterned paper was die-cut into a scalloped oval; popped off the surface of the card face with foam tape; and topped with a bit of cheesecloth for texture and interest, as well as the sweet, little Merrily Cat Vintage Die Cut, whose berries were dressed up with Glossy Accents for shine.
A "december" Remember Banner completes the look.
Further inspiration for this card came from Cupcake Inspirations' Challenge 396: Cats.
I'm signing off now for the weekend.  My to-do list is steadily growing and needs a giant slice taken out of it.  Plus, my big kiddo is going to be away at a church function, which means more time to make it happen... AND to play with my littles ;).  Thanks, as always, for stopping by!  Blessings!  XOXO
