Poppystamps: Happy Easter

Tuesday, April 11, 2017

Morning, friends!  I'm up on the Poppystamps blog today, sharing an Easter card that I made for my dear, sweet neighbor.  Enjoy!
I started this card by creating a puddle of various shades of blue watercolor on a 3-1/2" x 4-7/8" watercolor paper rectangle.  I then splattered it with those same shades of blue watercolor, as well as pink, yellow, green, and purple watercolors and Pure Black and Titanium White acrylic paints.  Once it was dry, I framed it with Perfect Plum cardstock and white-threaded, straight, machine stitching, whose ends were tied in a little bow just for a dash of extra texture.
The Happy Easter Curve title, too, was die-cut from Perfect Plum cardstock; adhered near the top of the design; given a bit of shine with Glossy Accents; and grounded with a stamped, in Jet Black ink, "from all of us", which comes from our Christmas Friends stamp set.
I then made the row of critters by die-cutting, from left to right, the Tiny Frog from Pear Pizzazz cardstock; Bunny Hop from textured, white cardstock; Simple Sheep from Very Vanilla and kraft cardstocks; the Purrfect Holidays chick from a soft yellow cardstock; and the single Young Fox Pair from an apricot cardstock.  Each one, with the exception of the bunny itself, was given a set of Bunny Ears, which were die-cut from Bashful Blue or Pink Pirouette cardstock, and popped up with foam tape.  The entire panel, too, was popped up with foam tape in the center of the white, cardstock, card face to complete the look.
Thanks so much for visiting!  Have a terrific Tuesday, y'all, and a blessed Easter season!
