Paper Sweeties October Inspiration Challenge #60

Saturday, September 30, 2017

Hey, y'all!  I'm super excited to be here today kicking off a guest designing gig with the girls over at Paper Sweeties!  Let's get things rolling with their October Inspiration Challenge #60.  The graphic below inspired me to put together a birthday card for my little punkin'.  She will be turning nine-years-old on the first of next month and loves all things bright and a little eccentric.  So, I've steered a bit away from the traditional fall colors the graphic boasts but kept the sweets and pumpkins.  Enjoy!
I started this card by anchoring a trio of different prints, to the white, cardstock, card face, with white-threaded, straight, machine stitching.
I then stamped a white envelope, in Jet Black ink, with the "Celebrate your day" sentiment and stuffed it with a die-cut, bright pink, polka dot tag, laced with both white string, tied in a bow, and white lace.
The focal point was created by stamping and masking the stake with the added word "Punkin'!", cupcake and its ribbon wrap, and pumpkin, in that order, in Jet Black ink, on watercolor paper.  It was then watercolored; dressed up with some white, Gelly Roll pen sprinkles; hand-cut out; and popped up with foam tape just to the left of the stamped sentiment.  A sprinkling of Marshmallow sequins complete the look.
Here's your October Inspiration Challenge #60 graphic to get you off and creating in the right direction.
Be sure to stop by the challenge link above to get all your challenge details.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a blessed fall, friends!
