Paper Sweeties January Blast from the Past: Day 2

Sunday, January 14, 2018

Welcome back, Paper Sweeties fans!  I've cooked up another winter-themed card, for your viewing pleasure, on this day two, out of three, of our January Blast from the Past series.  Enjoy!
I started this card by trimming the bottom edge of a piece of ivory, text, patterned paper with a strip of hand-cut, wavy, white cardstock and anchoring them both, to the white, cardstock, card face, with silver-threaded, straight, machine stitching.  I then coated the hand-cut, white cardstock with a healthy dose of Dazzling Diamonds to create a little blanket of snow for the puppy to stand on and the mailbox to rest behind.  Both images, from Sent from My Heart, were stamped in Jet Black ink on white, cardstock die cuts and paper-pieced.  The prior was popped up with foam tape.
The clouds, from Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and snowflakes, from Snow Friends, were all stamped, in Jet Black ink, on coordinating, white, cardstock die cuts and paper-pieced.  Some were adhered with foam tape.
A silver label was then stamped, in Jet Black ink, with the "Miss you" sentiment from Somewhere Over the Rainbow; wrapped, three times, with a length of white string, tied in a bow; and popped up, with foam tape, over the cloud/snowflake cluster, near the top edge of the card face, to complete the look.
Further inspiration for this card came from Cupcake Inspirations' Challenge 437: Winter.
I hope to see you back, at the same time and place, tomorrow for one more day of winter-themed goodness.  In the meantime, be sure to pop in to visit the rest of this talented team.  Thanks, as always, for humbling me with a visit!  Have a wonderful start to your work weeks, Paper Sweeties friends!
