Kitchen Reno: Part 5 (Complete)

Thursday, May 31, 2018

Hey, y'all!  I can't believe we've already come to the end of May, and even more so, that I still haven't shared the final pics of our recent, kitchen renovation.  What?!  So, without further adieu, I'll just let the pictures do the talking, especially since I've already said so much along the way (i.e. Kitchen Reno: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, and Part 4).
From ceiling to floor and everything in between, my hubby and I did every ounce of the work ourselves and couldn't be any more proud of the outcome.  It's so much better than we ever expected it would be.  I was going to order a custom shade, to coordinate with the ones that I've already incorporated into other areas of our home, to go in the window above the kitchen sink.  However, just as quickly as we got the final coat of paint on the beadboard walls, we sold our home.  Truthfully, we had our first offer by noon the Friday it listed; but our agent told us to wait until after our open house, the following Sunday, to make any final decisions.  By the end of the weekend, we had seven offers and nearly all of them were for $10,000 or more over asking.  Craziness, I tell you!  And it's been more of the same, in a whirlwind of activity, ever since.  Here are a couple of the professional photographer's shots.
We still haven't found a new home but are doing our due diligence to remedy that situation before closing, the middle of July, on our current home.  Nothing compares to the one we poured thirteen years of our lives into, and everything needs so much work.  Obviously, we're not scared of work; but we want the end result to be what we've been so patiently anticipating over the years.  Please keep us in your prayers, and thanks so much for visiting!  I hope you like our kitchen renovation as much as we do.  Hugs!
