Paper Sweeties May Release Sneak Peek

Sunday, May 13, 2018

Hey, y'all!  I'm so excited to be here this month, sharing a new die set, as well as a new stamp set, from Paper Sweeties!  The die set boasts a treat box, which I've totally worked into something super stinkin' adorable, that you'll have to come back tomorrow and check out; but it also comes with a plethora of tiny, die-cut sentiments, which are what I've put to good use, on this colorful, little number, today.  Enjoy!
I started this card by stamping a row of rainbows, from Somewhere Over the Rainbow, in Jet Black ink, slightly at an angle, across a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of watercolor paper.  I then added stretched puddles of a rainbow of watercolors.  Once it was dry, I splattered it with those same shades of watercolor, as well as Pure Black and Titanium White acrylic paints, before separating the piece just below the row of rainbows.  I then trimmed each opened half with the repeated, die-cut, using our new Treat Box Sweet Cuts die, Basic Black cardstock, "THANK YOU" sentiment.
Each half was then anchored, to a slightly larger piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock, with black-threaded, straight, machine stitches.  A length of white string was wrapped three times, just below the stamped rainbows, around the prepped piece and tied, in a bow, just right of vertical center.
Everything was then adhered, with foam tape, to the white, cardstock, card face to complete the look.
Thanks so much for peeking!  Be sure to stop by to see what the rest of the Design Team has cooked up just for your viewing pleasure.  Then, we'll all be back at the same time tomorrow for more of what May has to offer to you Paper Sweeties fans.  See you then!  Hugs!
