Paper Sweeties August Release Party

Tuesday, August 14, 2018

Welcome back, Paper Sweeties fans!  I've got a little more inspiration, from our August Release, to share, with you all, today.  Just as a reminder, Debbie has whipped up a Congrats stamp set, which I've put into practice today, and coordinating, Congrats Sweet Cuts die to wet your creative appetites this month.
I started this card by stamping a row of cupcakes, from Sending Sweet Thoughts, in Jet Black ink and at an angle, across a piece of watercolor paper.  I then added trailing puddles of teal, aqua, pink, cornflower, and blue watercolor, highlighting the boundaries of the cupcakes in particular, before splattering everything with those same shades of watercolor, as well as Titanium White acrylic paint.  I then black-embossed the partial, "congrats" sentiment at the same angle as the cupcakes and just below them and stamped the completed, "way to go!" sentiment, in Jet Black ink, just below that.  I just love that this new stamp set comes with a plethora of different builder sentiments for literally every congratulatory occasion.  Woohoo!
Once everything was dry, I anchored the prepped piece, with black-threaded, straight, machine stitches, to the Melon Mambo, cardstock, card face.  A few bright-pink enamel dots complete the look.
This card was made with the colors of our 6th Birthday Challenge graphic in mind.  To participate, for your chance to win a $100 Paper Sweeties shopping spree, simply create something new and link up your entries here.  The contest will run through the end of the month EST; and the winner will be announced September 1, 2018, on the blog.  Voting is turned on for this link gallery, so be sure to "like" your favorite projects to give them a chance at the grand prize.
Thanks, as always, for humbling me with a visit!  Be sure to stop by and visit the rest of the team as well.  Then, we'll all be back, at the same time and places, tomorrow to wrap up the August Release in style.  Until then, be blessed!
