Paper Sweeties August Release Sneak Peek

Monday, August 13, 2018

Evening, y'all!  Just stopping in tonight to kick off Paper Sweeties' August Release and thrilled to be sharing that it coincides with their 6th birthday.  Happy birthday, Paper Sweeties!  Debbie has designed a new, versatile, sentiment, stamp set, Congrats, and coordinating, Congrats Sweet Cuts die, for you all, this month; and I wasted no time putting them to good use.  The office manager, at my hubby's new job here in El Paso, recently got married, so this card was made for her.
I started this card by anchoring a piece of floral, patterned paper, to the white, cardstock, card face, with white-threaded, straight, machine stitches.  I then wrapped it, horizontally and three times, with a length of white string, tied in a bow just right of horizontal center.
The opposite side of that floral print was die-cut using the Rectangle Scallop Frames Sweet Cuts die and layered atop a bed of four other die-cut, from white cardstock, frames, just to create the thickness of chipboard.  It was then topped with the wedding dress image, from Faith, Hope, Love, which I stamped, in Jet Black ink, on watercolor paper; watercolored; hand-cut out; and popped up, with foam tape, hanging from a hanger embellishment.
The "congrats" sentiment was created in the same way as the scallop frames above, using the new, Congrats Sweet Cuts die; however, the final layer was die-cut from white, glitter cardstock, before it was adhered across the bottom center of the card face.  A scattering of Sugar Sprinkles sequins completes the look.
That gets us started, folks.  Thanks so much for visiting!  Be sure to do the same for each member of our talented team below; and I'll see you right back here, at the same time, tomorrow.  Hugs!
