Pretty Little Studio: A Beautiful Day

Sunday, September 30, 2018

Happy Sunday, y'all!  Just stopping back in, as promised, to share one last creation before September slips away.  This one happens to be up on the Pretty Little Studio blog this morning and was inspired by Kim Watson's gorgeous, new Savannah Dreams Collection, which I simply LOVE!
I started this page by adding a little gesso to one of the brand new 12" x 12" prints, Daydream.  I cannot tell you how excited I am to be playing with 12" x 12" patterned papers from Pretty Little Studio.  Eeek!  Once the gesso was dry, I splattered it with Pure Black and Titanium White acrylic paints and topped that with a snippet of cheesecloth for texture.  The page was then ready for my photos which were matted with white cardstock.  The top photo was crowned with a Rainy Day Die-Cut cloud and Happy Place Die-Cut sun.  The latter of which was popped up with foam tape.
A Best Ever Frame Die Cut was filled with the cupcake die cut found in the 12x12 Paper Pack and popped up, with foam tape, to the bottom right of that same photo.  It was then topped with a Happy Place Die-Cut bird, popped up with more foam tape, and grounded with a couple of All Together Word Stickers.
The "A beautiful DAY" die cut, found in the 12x12 Paper Pack, was placed vertically, slightly overlapping the frame above, and serves as my title.
I used a Just Relax 3x4 Pocket Card to house my journaling, which reads, Hanging out with your cousins @ Jones Aquatic Center in celebration of your 9th birthday.  Pizza and Red Velvet Cake @ Grandpa and Grandma's was the perfect ending to a day in the sun.  I just love spoiling you!
My journaling was grounded with the "SO MUCH HAPPINESS" word bubble die cut and cluster of flowers, both of which were found, once again, in the 12x12 Paper Pack, as well as a "THIS IS THE LIFE" Rainy Day Die Cut and "YOU MAKE ME SMILE" Let It Go Flair Button, all of which were popped up with foam tape.
A Best Ever Frame Die-Cut tag, laced with white string, tied in a bow, was tucked under its top edge.
A yellow Label It Die Cut houses my handwritten, Saturday, July 7, 2012, date...
an "Each moment in your life is precious, so live completely, totally, fully..." Best Ever Frame Die Cut...
and a quartet of Rainy Day Die-Cut water splatters, most of which were popped up with foam tape just because I can't get enough of that scrumptious dimension, complete the look.
I can't wait to see what you all cook up with this colorful, collection!  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hugs!
