Pretty Little Studio: You Light Up My Life

Thursday, September 6, 2018

Morning, friends, and welcome to September!  I'm playing with Marie Pierre-Capistrans's fall-inspired Potpourri Collection, in combination with kisses from six other collections, on the Pretty Little Studio blog this am; and I'd love to share the results of such here, too.  Enjoy!
I started this page by stamping three columns of light bulbs, in Jet Black ink, down the right side of a 12" x 12" piece of watercolor paper.  I then watercolored the bulbs in a rainbow of colors and splattered the whole page in those same watercolors, as well as Pure Black and Titanium White acrylic paints.  I then began embellishing my page, beginning with the "You Light Up My Life." title, which was created from a Love Today 3x4 Journaling Card.  The journaling card itself was cut down in size to 2-1/2" x 3-1/8"; had all four of its corners punched; and was matted with Real Red cardstock and topped with a hand-cut, from the Fresh Air print, word bubble, popped up with foam tape.
All of my photos were cut to fit the Polaroids from the Potpourri Frame + Banner Die Cuts package.  The top-right, framed photo was popped up with foam tape and backed with a snippet of cheesecloth; "LOVE THIS MOMENT" Darling Journaling Die-Cut Tag; and my very last Salt Lake Clear Shipping Tag, laced with Baker's Twine, tied in a bow.
It was further embellished with a "Remember where you come from" Think Positive Phrase Sticker; "TAKE A CHANCE" Everyday Cut Apart; and an " enjoy this day" Sweet Life 1" Flair Button.
The bottom-right, framed photo was topped with a "smile" Hello Lovely Word Die Cut and crowned with a couple of Make It Happen Wood Veneer word bubbles.
The entire design was grounded with a duo of Darling Journaling Die-Cut Tags.  The first was used to etch the 2 Tim. 2:15 scripture; and the second anchors the Love Clear Word Art piece, which was secured with a couple of simple staples.
An Everyday Cut-Apart label houses my Sat., Feb. 2, '13, date.
The left-side photos were backed with a large piece of cheesecloth for more of that scrumptious texture and embellished with a "happiness CAPTURED" Back to School Die Cut...
and "cute" Hello Lovely Word Die Cut, respectively.  A scattering of Back to School Die-Cut stars complete the look.
Thanks ever so much for hanging in there with me, during my brief break from Pretty Little Studio, while I was getting my family settled into our new home.  I so appreciate your continued support and visits.  You all are the best!  Be blessed!
