Sketchabilities #153 September Reveal

Friday, September 14, 2018

Evening, y'all!  Just stopping back in to share my take on a fabulous, new sketch over at Sketchabilities.  Enjoy!
I started this page by smudging Wedding Pink and Aquamarine, softened by Pearl Colorations Spray, Glimmer Mists onto the textured, white, cardstock, base page.  I then splattered it with those same mists before stamping it, in Barely Banana and Jet Black inks respectively, with the lemon wheels, little flowers, and dragonfly and splattering once again, but this time with Pure Black and Titanium White acrylic paints.
My photos, which were matted with white cardstock, rest on top of a nest of cheesecloth for more of that fabulous texture I love so much.  I then hand-cut all of the black and white lemons and flowers, some of which were popped off the surface of the base page with foam tape, from a patterned print and tucked a number of black-embossed, on vellum, and punched flowers in among the clusters.
A large, lemon slice die cut grounds the design and serves as the stage for the "sunkissed" title die cut, popped up with foam tape and anchored by a colorful, banner die cut, as well as a layered, die-cut, from vellum, banner and a couple of stamped, in Jet Black ink, words.
A duo of layered, frame die cuts houses my journaling, which reads, Melvern Lake, July 13, 2014, as well as a stamped, in Jet Black ink, "Sun, please." phrase.  They were topped with a lemon die cut, which was, in turn, stacked with a "lazy days & sun rays" banner die cut and dressed up with a length of white string, tied in a bow.
A lemon, epoxy badge and scattering of gold, glitter and yellow enamel dots...
as well as the trimmed, left side of my black and white, journaling die cut, complete the look.
Here's your September Sketch #153 to get you off and creating in the right direction.
To be considered for the Featured Designer spot, you must add your entry to the linky by October 10, 2018.  Thanks so much for humbling me with a visit, friends!  Be blessed!
