Paper Sweeties Winter Inspiration Day 3

Tuesday, January 15, 2019

Welcome back to Day 3 of Paper Sweeties' Winter Inspiration series!  I've whipped up a sweet, little, monochromatic number that could be used for anything from celebrating a new birth to expressing one's thanks.  Check it out!
I started this card by adhering a 3" x 5" piece of a bright pink, patterned print to the left side of my white, cardstock, card face.  I then set it aside to stamp the "Sweet as can be" sentiment, from the Be Happy stamp set, in Jet Black ink, in the bottom center of a separate, 3-1/4" x 4-3/4" piece of white cardstock.
I then added a smudge of Strawberry Cream Glimmer Mist just above it; splattered it with Pure Black and Titanium White, acrylic paints; framed it with a piece of white cardstock, as well as white-threaded, straight, machine stitches; and wrapped a length of white string, three times, around it, just above horizontal center.  The ends of that string were then tied, in a bow, just right of vertical center and topped with a Rectangle Scallop Frame, die-cut from Strawberry Slush cardstock.
The Homegrown strawberry was stamped, in Jet Black ink, on a watercolor paper die cut; watercolored; given a hint of shine, to match that scrumptious Glimmer Mist mentioned previously, with Clear Wink of Stella; and splattered with more Pure Black and Titanium White, acrylic paints, before it was backed with a snippet of cheesecloth and popped up with foam tape.  The entire prepped piece was then popped off the surface of the prepped, white, cardstock, card face, with foam tape, to complete the look.
I'll be back early next week with a fun project for Pretty Little Studio.  Until then, thanks so much for visiting me!  Don't forget to stop by to see what the rest of the Paper Sweeties Design Team has cooked up; and be sure to get your name in the hat for my ginormous Birthday Giveaway.  Be blessed!
