Pretty Little Studio: Cheers

Monday, January 28, 2019

Welcome to the work week, y'all!  Just stopping in to share a page which happens to be up on the Pretty Little Studio blog today.  I was rummaging through a box of old photos and knew that I had to get these two of my littlest, just being silly, holding that empty bottle of sparkling cider, onto a page.  I've used no less than ten different collections to get it done.  I've said it before, but I simply cannot say it enough.  I LOVE the way Pretty Little Studio's Collections work together so effortlessly.  Enjoy!
I started this page by adding puddles of aqua and blue watercolors to a 12" x 12" watercolor paper, base page.  I then splattered it with those same shades of watercolor, as well as bright pink watercolor and Pure Black and Titanium White acrylic paints.  Once it was dry and just because I love them so, I added a heap of stars to my page, beginning with a trio of open stars, Cameo-cut from, in order from largest to smallest, our Feeling Creative, Jolly, and Stargazer prints and anchored with silver-threaded, straight, machine stitching.  A number more of the stars came from the Destination Star Die-Cut, Frolic Word Die-Cut, and Summer Night Die-Cut packages.  I also threw in quite a few that were hand-cut from our Starry Sky print, as well as a trio each of Shining Star Stickers and silver, star sequins for good measure.
I then topped them all with my photos, which were matted with white cardstock and backed with a snippet of cheesecloth for texture.  A Good Cheer Clear Shipping Tag, laced with white string, tied in a bow, was tucked under the left photo and topped with a Let It Go Flair Button, backed with a tangle of silver thread.
The "Cheers" title was Cameo-cut from Basic Black cardstock; given a bit more dimension and shine with Glossy Accents; and grounded with a "holiday" Twinkle Word and "this" Rainbow Vibes Die-Cut Word, both of which were popped up with foam tape, as well as a "party time" Happy Day Color Sticker.
A "COLORFUL MEMORIES" Always Fun Word Flag, tucked in amidst a cluster of stars, anchors the entire design.
I used a Sunny Labels Cut-Apart to house the date and hint of journaling, which reads, January 1, 2016, You're such a ham!  I then adhered it, hanging off the top, right edge of the page and surrounded with a couple more hand-cut and die-cut stars; button, stitched with white string; and "beautiful days" Blue Fall Word Sticker to complete the look.

Thanks so much for visiting!  Have a blessed week, friends!
