Pretty Little Studio: Clear Happy Birthday Minis

Saturday, January 26, 2019

Welcome to the weekend, y'all!  I'm up on the Pretty Little Studio blog today, sharing a couple of 4" square, mini, birthday greetings.  They were inspired by my last two Christmas Favs 3x8 Pocket Cards and a couple sheets of our scrumptious, clear cardstock.  Enjoy!
Let's get a little up close and personal.  Shall we?
I started this card by cutting a piece of Achieve It Clear paper into the 4" x 4" card base.  I then topped it with the kraft, trees Christmas Fav 3x8 Pocket Card, cut down into 3" x 3" squares and secured in the center of the card face.  This pocket card is where the birthday greeting will be.  The folded, clear, card base only helps serve to support the card when standing.
I added a solid, white, cardstock, 3" x 3" square to the backside of the inside front of the card in order to hide the adhesive.  Tip: Glue dots last long and adhere super snug to clear cardstock.  A For You Shipping Tag was then laced with white string, tied in a bow, and adhered, with foam tape, just right of vertical center.  That Twinkle Die-Cut arrow was a last minute addition, which I couldn't love any more.
The tag itself was then topped with the Grandma's House Die-Cut cardinal, adhered with foam tape, backed with a bed of cheesecloth, and perched atop a teal, Home for Christmas Die-Cut banner, stamped, in Jet Black ink, with the "happy birthday" sentiment.  A few Grandma's House Die-Cut branches peek out from behind the bird, and a trio of Always Aqua Sequins complete the look.
The second card was created in nearly the same way as the first.  So, let's just call attention to the differences, beginning with the 4" x 4" square, card base being made from You Make Me Smile Clear paper.  Because the Christmas Fav 3x8 Pocket Card boasts a grid design, which doesn't have an obvious up or down pattern, I didn't have to split it into two 3" squares, as I did above.  I simply sliced two inches from one end, folded it in half, and adhered it to the card base, backed with white cardstock, on the inside front of the card, in the same way as above.
A different tag, albeit from the same For You Shipping Tags package, was chosen for the card face and laced with white string, tied in a bow, in the same way as above.
A Twinkle Die-Cut buck takes center stage, backed with another snippet of cheesecloth and anchored with a bright pink, Home for Christmas banner, stamped in the same way as above.  A trio of Twinkle Die-Cut stars and scattering of Seaspray Sequins complete the look.
Thanks, as always, for humbling me with a visit!  Have a blessed weekend, friends!
