Pretty Little Studio: Glitter & Ice Cards

Sunday, December 15, 2019

Happy Sunday, y'all!  I have a trio of cards, inspired by the Glitter & Ice Collection, which happen to be up on the Pretty Little Studio blog, to share, with all you creative souls, today.  Enjoy!
I used Sparkle & Bright 3" x 4" Journaling Pocket Cards, framed with white cardstock and gold-threaded, straight, machine stitching, for the sentiments on each of my creations; backed them with snippets of cheesecloth for texture; popped them up, with foam tape, over the individual Glitter & Ice prints listed below; and embellished each with elements from the Glitter & Ice Collection to give them interest and personality.  Let's get a little up close and personal.  Shall we?
I used a scrap of the Favorite Flannel 8" x 8" print, framed with white cardstock and gold-threaded, straight, machine stitching, just like the "Be merry and bright" Sparkle & Bright Journaling Pocket Card sentiment, to set the stage for this card.  The pocket card itself was also hole-punched; framed with a die-cut, patterned-print, from the Glitter & Ice Collection packaging insert, ring; laced with Baker's Twine, tied in a bow; and popped up with foam tape.  A Wonderful Die-Cut Frame, "SANTA IS COMING!" phrase, backed with a Warm Wishes Die-Cut pennant, embellish the pocket card's top, left corner...
and a couple of 'Tis the Season Die-Cuts, which were given a little shimmer and shine with Dazzling Diamonds and Glossy Accents and popped up with foam tape, dress up its bottom right.
A Warm Wishes Die-Cut tab, housing a "WHAT A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS" Oh What Fun Sticker, completes the look.
For the second card...
I used a scrap of the Snow Storm 8" x 8" print, framed with white cardstock and gold-threaded, straight, machine stitching, just like the Sparkle & Bright Journaling Pocket Card, "HAVE YOURSELF A merry LITTLE christmas" sentiment, which was hole-punched, framed, and laced with a Baker's Twine bow, just like the first card above, and popped up, with foam tape, off the white, cardstock, card face, to set the foundation for all the embellishing.  It was then topped with a Happy Season Die-Cut starry banner...
and "The Happy Season" sentiment, topped with a bird die cut, once again, from that same die-cut package and anchored with a blue, Warm Wishes Die-Cut, journaling label, all popped up with foam tape.  A little glitter, for the spots on the Sparkle & Bright Journaling Pocket Card, completes the look.
For the third and final card, I chose a scrap of the Plush Plaid 8" x 8" print, prepared in the same way as above, for the stage of the "this is the season to be Jolly", Sparkle & Bright Journaling Pocket Card sentiment, once again, prepared in the same way as above.
A Warm Wishes Die-Cut tab, laced with Baker's Twine, tied in a bow, and "CHRISTMAS WISHES" phrase, as well as a Holly Jolly Flair Button, dress up the top of the design...
and clusters of Fir Tree and 'Tis the Season Die-Cut trees, popped up with foam tape, ground it.
A holly Happy Season Die-Cut and lots of Glossy Accents, for all the berries produced throughout the design, complete the look.
Thanks so much for visiting!  Have an amazing week, friends!
