Pretty Little Studio: Uniquely You

Wednesday, May 20, 2020

Morning, y'all!  I'm just stopping in today to share a page that I had up on the Pretty Little Studio blog on Monday.  It was inspired by the newest Color Me Happy Collection and a sweet pic of my daughter from when she was only three months old.  Enjoy!
I started this page by adding puddles of bright pink and aqua watercolors to the 12x12, watercolor paper, base page.  I then splattered it with those same shades of watercolor, as well as purple and blue watercolors; rubbed Tumbled Glass Distress Ink through a Jenni Bowlin honeycomb stencil; and splattered everything once again, but this time with Pure Black and Titanium White, acrylic paints.  Scraps of the Oh So Geo and Crazy Cool prints, as well as a couple of Be Cool Pocket Journaling Cards, all anchored with black-threaded, straight, machine stitching and flanked with hand-cut, from the Bee Happy print, hexagons, set the stage for my photo, which was matted with white cardstock; wrapped with a length of white string, tied in a bow; and popped up, with foam tape, over a nest of cheesecloth for texture.  A Merry Go Round Die-Cut unicorn anchors the photo's bottom, right corner...
and a couple of Stay True Word Die Cuts, as well as a Cameo-cut, from Basic Black Cardstock, "you", ground it.
A "LIVE A COLORFUL LIFE" Starbright Word Sticker; bit of journaling, which reads, Enjoying a warm, winter day @ Waterworks Park.  February 2, 2009...
March 2020 Die-Cut Freebie rainbow; Over the Rainbow Die-Cut sunshine; and Sweet Drops Flair Button complete the look.
That covers things for now, friends.  Thanks, as always, for stopping by my little corner of the web.  XOXO
