Happy Sunday, y'all! I'm just stopping in today to share a project that I had up on the Pretty Little Studio blog late last week. I was inspired by a single package of the Christmas Cheer: Countdown Die-Cut Tags to create an advent calendar. Check it out!
I started this project by spray-painting a kraft-colored, advent calendar, that I purchased from Hobby Lobby, inside and out, in white. I then die-cut half circles, to match the tops of the calendar drawers themselves, in the tops of each of the tags. Once everything was secure, I splattered the drawers with Titanium White, acrylic paint. Then, once everything was dry and although it is difficult to tell here, I added lots of extra details with glitter for snow and fluffy trims...
Glossy Accents for eyes, noses, mouths, berries, buttons, and bells...
and Baker's Twine bows throughout.
A couple, layered, wire-rimmed bows top the calendar and complete the look.
I hope my project inspires you to create a little something festive for your own Christmas celebrations. Thanks so much for visiting, friends! Have a blessed season!
