The front cover of my 6" x 8" album was covered with an
8" x 10" piece of the Joyful print.
It was cut two inches larger than the front, cardboard panel itself in order to
give myself enough extra to fold onto the inside, which I'll get to in just a
moment. I then dressed it up with a Merry
& Bright Frame Die-Cut deer and two layered Made a List Journal Pocket Cards, one of which was hand-cut around the
black, gingham tab found at its top edge. That same tab was dressed up
with a “TWENTY-FIVE” The Merriest White Word Sticker and had a wax envelope…
stuffed with a “Have A Holly Jolly Christmas” Holly Jolly Tag Die Cut, punched with a hole and laced with Baker’s Twine, tied in
a bow, tucked in behind it.
A Holly Jolly Tag Die-Cut tab, filled in with a “CHRISTMAS CHEER” The Merriest White Word Sticker, was then tucked under the combined right
edge of the pocket cards. The Santa, on the topmost, pocket card, was
dazzled with a fine, white glitter and topped with both a Merry
& Bright Frame Die-Cut package stack, popped up with foam tape, and
a “LOVE Christmas” Much Joy Flair Button.
Nutcracker Number Polka Die Cuts create the “19” to reference the year these
cards were gifted; and a Tis the Season Word Die Cut, popped up with foam tape, grounds the
design. A scattering of Tis the Season Word and Star Bright Vellum Die-Cut, as well as Christmas Cheer Sequin Mix, stars, some of which were popped up with foam tape,
complete the look…
and turn our attention to the inside of the book, where I used a
5-3/4" x 7-3/4" piece of the Cozy Blanket
print to tuck away all the folded, Joyful
ends.
The inside cover was further embellished with another Made a List Journal Pocket Card, dressed up, in the same way as above, with
a fine, white glitter. In addition to the scattering of Tis the Season Word and Star Bright Vellum Die-Cut, as well as Christmas Cheer Sequin Mix, stars, “Santa BABY”…
and “HAND
DELIVERED BY” Holly Jolly Tag Die Cuts were popped up, with foam tape, over the top, left edge
and right side of the pocket card respectively. The latter was also laced
with Baker’s Twine, tied in a bow.
All the folded
ends of the back panel of the book were covered with a 5-3/4" x
7-3/4" piece of the A Star Tonight
print.
I covered the
back panel with more of the same Joyful
print found on the front cover. Obviously, everything was hole-punched in
order to tie it all together with metal, office rings; but the front and back
covers' holes were extra reinforced with Jumbo pewter eyelets. Lots of
fabulous ribbons and trims, all of which came straight from my scrap basket, I
might add, as well as a “HAVE YOURSELF A MERRY LITTLE Christmas” Joyous Word Die Cut, topped with an Animal Christmas Die Cut, dressed up with more of that fine, white glitter,
complete the look.
I didn’t tuck any additional memories into the pages of this book, as I
have in years past. It just seemed like there wasn’t anything “extra” to
add, beyond my 2019 scrapbook pages, this go around. Thanks so much for
visiting, friends! Have a blessed weekend!
