Happy Thursday, y'all! It's been a bit of a slow month creatively around here with so many other things going on behind the scenes, but do not fret. I'm determined to get my memory books caught up and will not stop until the job is done, beginning with a page that was up on the Pretty Little Studio blog earlier this week. It was inspired by Sunday's Valentines Day holiday and the Christmas Cheer Collection. Enjoy!
I started this page by adding gesso to the 12" x 12" Heart Warming base page. I then added puddles and splatters of red and pink watercolors, as well as more splatters of Pure Black and Titanium White, acrylic paints. Once everything was dry, I matted my left-hand photo with white cardstock and set it atop pieces of the Candy Stick Silver Metallic and The Merriest prints, as well as a nest of cheesecloth for texture. Before anchoring the prints with silver-threaded, straight, machine stitching, I tucked a Claus Tag, laced with Baker's Twine, tied in a bow, under its top edge and topped it with a Much Joy Flair Button.
as well as the "happy V-Day" title, created from a 'Tis the Season Word Die Cut, as well as Here + There: Noir ABC Stickers; and popped up, with foam tape, just to the right of the first photo described above.
A sweet Animal Christmas Die Cut, popped up, with foam tape, over a Miss Sadie Rose: Roses Are Red Vintage Die Cut, grounds the bottom, left corner of my design. A Warm Wishes Label was tucked into the cluster described previously; houses a hint of journaling; and crowns Red Cherry Mini ABC Stickers, which were used to create the year my photos were taken.
A couple of Stocking Stuffer word die cuts, as well as a scattering of sequins and heap of combined Holiday Love, Silent Night, and Holly Jolly Die-Cut hearts, in addition to a few older, silver, puffy stickers from Freckled Fawn, complete the look.
Thanks so much for visiting, friends! I hope your Valentines Days were blessed! XOXO
